Camper Devotions

Campers - greetings from Vesper Point! We want to provide you with resources to help you read your Bible during the school year. For the fall, winter, and spring months, we will be posting weekly devotional guides which are Bible verses related to our summer theme, “Remain Steadfast.” We will post a verse per day that you can read. As you read these verses from the Bible, I want to encourage you to read through the verses several times. Think about what the verse is saying to you. You may want to write down your thoughts in a journal to help express how the verses speak to you. Try and reflect on what the verses mean and how you can apply them to your life. One of the amazing things about Scripture is that it is active and breathing in each of our lives (Hebrews 4:12). Even though the Bible was written a long time ago, it is powerful and it applies to your life as if it were written today!

Remember that the Bible is not a book of fiction but a book that is literally written by and inspired by God. After you read, spend some time praying to the Lord about the verses. Spend some time praying to the Lord to teach you through His Word. I would also encourage you to spend some time praying for your needs and the needs of other people around you. You can make a prayer list in your journal for the specific things that you pray about each week. It is such a blessing to see how God will answer our prayers. Look for an updated devotional guide each Monday during the school year. If you need help finding these verses, you can go to the Table of Contents which is located at the beginning of your Bible. If you do not have a Bible, email me at forrest@vesperpoint.org and we can mail you a Bible! You can also use a Bible app on your phone or just Google the verses.
