Our Mission
Camp Vesper Point serves the mission of First Presbyterian Church of Chattanooga, TN by providing a camping environment where Jesus Christ is presented and glorified in worship, fellowship, discipleship, and recreation with an emphasis on God’s calling for all to become more fully devoted to following Christ Jesus our Lord.
Summer Camp
Camp Vesper Point has been used by God since 1954 as a dynamic summer camp ministry in the Chattanooga area. Serving campers ranging from 3rd-10th grades, Vesper Point hires High School and College aged counselors to invest their summers in the lives of campers. Vesper Point seeks to reach campers for Christ through dynamic programming where an emphasis is placed on counselors pouring into the camper’s lives. Relationships are formed in cabins and throughout the camp program with a focus on fun, play, skill acquisition, and learning about God. An emphasis is also placed on staff members being mentored and discipled as they serve on summer staff.
Vesper Point is located right on the Tennessee River in Soddy Daisy, TN and it situated on a 135-acre property. Generations of campers have formed life-long relationships and memories at Vesper Point and we cannot wait for what 2023 has in store!
Retreat & Conferences
Vesper Point is the perfect place to host your next retreat or conference. A camp and conference ministry of the First Presbyterian Church, we’re able to accommodate overnight groups ranging in size from 30 to 160, and day groups up to 200. A large dining room with fireplace, spacious meeting area, and rustic cabins with bunk beds provide groups the opportunity to relax and experience the awesome beauty of God’s creation.
