Camper Resources

Campers - greetings from Vesper Point! We want to provide you with a resource to help you read your Bible during the school year. We have posted a year-long Bible reading plan that will hopefully help you in your daily Bible reading. There will be days throughout the year that you will miss your reading or days that you simply do not want to read. Be encouraged that this is normal for everyone. The important thing is to keep at it and make it a goal to finish the plan by taking your time! It may be helpful to have a family member or friend read along with you to help you in your daily commitment. One of the cool things about reading the Bible with someone is that you can discuss what you read or how a section of scripture spoke to you.

Remember that the Bible is not a book of fiction but a book that is literally written by and inspired by God. Even though the Bible was written a long time ago, it is active, living, and sharp (Hebrews 4:12) and applicable to today and never goes out of style or expires. After you read, spend some time praying to the Lord about the verses and chapters. I would also encourage you to spend some time praying for your needs and the needs of other people around you. You can make a prayer list in your journal for the specific things that you pray about each week. It is such a blessing to see how God will answer our prayers.
